Eligibility Criteria for The College of Business and Law Scholarship for LLM by Research at University College Cork

  • Applicants must: Be a current UCC student.
  • Hold a good upper second class (2:1) or first class degree in Law or a related discipline (or equivalent).
  • Have a suitable supervisor available at UCC Law School.
  • Demonstrate aptitude for original research by submitting a Research Proposal, including: Description of project, aim, and central research questions (1000 words) Methodology, including theoretical framework and investigative/analytical methods (500 words) Relationship to existing literature and proposed contribution to knowledge (500 words) Research plan with organisation and scheduling of work (500 words) Sample bibliography Statement of suitability of UCC Law School to host the project (500 words)

Prepare a Research Proposal as outlined above Obtain two academic references Applications assessed by the Graduate Studies Committee of the School of Law Active participation in the School of Law research community is expected.
