Scholarship value: Partial Funding, NZD $500 Mrs. Helen Hopkins founded this prize in 1975 in memory of her late husband, George Hopkins, a longtime tutor for woodwind instruments at the School of Music.

Eligibility Criteria for the University of Auckland George Hopkins Prize

• Applicants must: Be a full-time woodwind student Be enrolled in one of the following programmes: Bachelor of Music Bachelor of Music (Conjoint degree) Bachelor of Music (Honours) Graduate Diploma in Music Postgraduate Diploma in Music Be studying at the School of Music Have achieved the highest mark in one of the following courses: MUS 121 MUS 221 MUS 321 MUS 620 A & B MUS 721 Meet the standard of sufficient academic merit as determined by the University
• Value of the University of Auckland George Hopkins Prize: The value of the Prize will be $500.
