• Applicants must: Belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
• Have secured admission to a full‑time prescribed course in a notified institution.
• Have a total annual family income from all sources not exceeding ₹8.00 lakh (₹800,000).
• Follow the general selection criteria of the respective institution for course admission.
• Be among the top eligible students in merit if more students qualify than available scholarship slots.
