  • Scholarship value: Partial Funding, living expenses + tuition fees Through the provision of QUTPRAs to students who have extraordinary research potential, the institution is fostering research excellence.
  • The quantity of QUTPRAs available changes annually.
  • Eligibility for the QUT Postgraduate Research Award (QUTPRA): Applicants may come from any nationality.
  • Applicants may be enrolled in any of the research programs at the university.
  • Applicants must not be in receipt of another living allowance scholarship.
  • Applicants must fulfill the admission criteria and language requirements of their preferred program of study.
  • Applicants who are current students must have consumed less than the below equivalent full-time study load (EFTSL) to apply: less than 1 year EFTSL for enrolled research doctorate students, less than 6 months EFTSL for enrolled research masters students.

  • The candidates must first be enrolled in a research degree program. They must have the written support of their principal supervisor.
  • The candidates must then apply for the scholarship.

Value of the Scholarship

  • The successful candidates are awarded the following benefits: An annual stipend (AUD 37,010) is paid fortnightly towards living costs.
  • Domestic students receive a Research Training Program (RTP) Fees Offset funded by the Australian Government.
