The ELICOS+ Scholarship is designed for international students applying for an English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) alongside an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree. It offers up to 10 weeks of ELICOS tuition refunded, up to A$5,000, once the student completes their ELICOS course and starts their principal Swinburne course. Eligibility To be eligible for the ELICOS+ Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Nationality: You must be an international student. Citizens of Australia or New Zealand and permanent residents of Australia are not eligible. English Language

  • You must not satisfy the English language requirement of your principal Swinburne course.
  • Existing Scholarships: You cannot be in receipt of a Swinburne tuition fee scholarship or reduced fee arrangement at the same time, nor can you have any other tuition fee scholarship or reduced fee arrangement from another organization.

How to Apply

For the ELICOS+ Scholarship, there is no separate application process.

When you apply to commence an eligible course at Swinburne’s Hawthorn campus, from June 2024 to December 2024, you will automatically be considered for the scholarship based on the grades of your previous study.

If your application is successful, your letter of offer will inform you about receiving the scholarship.

Benefits or Value

The ELICOS+ Scholarship offers

Refund of up to 10 weeks of ELICOS tuition fees, which can be as much as A$5,000.
