The purpose of the British Council Scholarship for English Language Teachers India is to find and assist a small number of exceptionally talented English language instructors and/or teacher educators in advancing their expertise in TESOL, with a focus on technology usage. To boost the likelihood of longer-term participation and broader effect, in addition to the course with the University of Stirling and the University of Portsmouth, there will be a wraparound program of alumni activities (facilitated by the British Council).

Eligibility for British Council Scholarship for English Language Teachers India

• The applicant must possess a valid passport and be an Indian permanent resident.
• The ideal candidate would be employed by or closely associated with India's government education system, specializing in English language instruction.
• The applicant must fulfil the University of Stirling's academic and English language standards.
• The candidate must not have recently resided in the UK or have studied there for a degree or higher in the past.
• The applicant must demonstrate the need for financial support.
