Sethia Charitable Trust Deadline: 31 Jul, 2026 Scholarship value: Partial Funding, Up to Rs.1,000 per month The Educational Sponsorship Scheme was introduced in 1997 by the J.M. Sethia Charitable Trust. The Program is open to everyone. Participants must have completed the qualifying test this year (on their first try). Individuals who have already passed are not considered eligible.

  • Eligibility Criteria for JMS Trust Merit Scholarships 2025: Applicants must be passport holders of India.
  • Applicants pursuing class 9 to post-graduation or professional courses are eligible.
  • Candidates should have passed the qualifying exam in the current year.
  • Applicants who have passed earlier are not eligible.
  • Applicants must be enrolled in full-time study only.

Application Process

  • Candidates must submit an application to be considered for the scholarship.
  • The scholarship is open in the following categories, and the qualifying academic qualification is as follows: Category A - 75% aggregate in class 8th Category B - 75% aggregate in class10th Category C - 75% aggregate (Science and Commerce), 65% aggregate (Humanities/Arts) in class 12th or equivalent.
  • Category D - 60% aggregate (science and commerce), 50% aggregate in (Humanities/Arts) at graduate degree level.
  • Category P - 60% aggregate (Science & Commerce), 50% aggregate (Humanities/Arts).

  • Applicants must be passport holders of India.
  • Applicants pursuing class 9 to post-graduation or professional courses are eligible.
  • Candidates should have passed the qualifying exam in the current year.
  • Applicants who have passed earlier are not eligible.
  • Applicants must be enrolled in full-time study only.

Benefits

The recipient of the JM Sethia Charitable Trust Merit Scholarship will receive the following:

Category A - Rs. 400/- P.M. for two years.

Category B- Rs. 500/- P.M. for two years.

Category C - Rs. 600/- P.M. for two or three years as applicable.

Category D - Rs. 700/- P.M. for two or three years as applicable.

Category P- Rs. 1000/- P.M. for two or three years as applicable

Note

20% of Scholarships in each category are reserved for

  • Special category- handicapped.
  • Excellence in extra-curricular activities like sports, NCC 'B' certificate holder, debating, dramatic, and social services.
  • Economically weaker section - of those students, whose parents' Annual Income is not more than Rs 1,20,000/- (Rupees One Lac twenty thousand only).

How to Apply

Candidates must submit an application to be considered for the scholarship.

The scholarship is open in the following categories, and the qualifying academic qualification is as follows:
